Test model
I wasn’t given any instructions on preference other than “colourful”.
I am going to make a base for them to be displayed on because my workmate doesn’t intend to play with them, but they will keep their individual bases as well.
The minis were primed black and based on slotter bases already.
To see the detail etc. I drybrushed the whole mini with Grey Seer. Then I used…
Flesh Tearer Red Contrast Paint with a heavy highlight of Mephistom Red.
Snakebite Leather on the gloves.
Ork Flesh Contrast Paint. Sleaves.
Jokaero Orange and Citadel yellow wash for the hair.
Bugman’s Glow with a wash of Reikland Fleshshade and a highlight of Army Painter Barbarian Flesh and Bugman’s Glow mix.
Leadbelcher and a high slive for the metal parts.
I used some of the yellow wash to suggest candle light being cast on to the pick.
The candle is Zandri Dust, then Morghast Off-white and Wraithbone on the high points.
The flame looked ok, but I think I improved it with my next model.
The basing is a mixture of flint, brown earth flock and winter grass.
