Beautifully done and very impressive looking. I am sure you will get a golden button for this! Your project reminds me to completed my 15mm Dwarves that are based in a similar manner for ‘Sword and Spear Fantasy’ and ‘Impetus Fanasy’. I only wish there was a fantasy supplement for ‘To the Stongest’. I have never played the ‘Warband Rules’, do you think they are any good?
Thank you that’s nice of you to say. Have not play warband yet so still just off reading the rules but I do like them all tests are on done with d6’s and all pass on +4 so modifiers increase or decrease amount of dice rolled. I am testing games with my 8 year old and keeping it simple helps. Probably me more then her!
Just read up on sword and spear fantasy rules and I am blaming you for me how owning more rule books ?
I admit!, guilty as charged! It was my intention to make you buy them all along!?
the fantasy version is much better than the historical version
Got both coming I needed some holiday reading.
I think a fantasy version of TTS is in the pipeline
Was it mentioned in the forums?
I did see it mentioned last year but with all that’s been going on who knows what the plans are now.
Just been looking and 2018 was the last I could see in the forums. Are the rules good might have to invest in them too.
I really like them. They are card based and grid driven. Very quick and fun to play once you get the rules down (and that does not take long). They play so differently than conventional mass battle games, yet still retain that ancient war flavour. I understand that they might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but it is fascinating playing with the same armies but with different play styles due to different rules – while at the same time retaining the flavour. If anything try them for this reason.
