Bloodletters - Washes and Drybrushing

Day two was pretty productive in terms of painting and getting through most of my youtube Watch Later list. I made the mistake of going over the models in their original base colours after the wash but before the drybrush which was a waste of time. I’m not a very neat drybrusher 🙁

7. All over wash. Would have preferred a darker red washe but this is what I have and so this is what I used.

8. First round of drybrush on the skin, probably closer to an overbrush tbh as it was fairly heavy. The model on the right has been done, the one on the left hasn't.

9. Second round of drybrush, a bit lighter, focused mainly on top-down strokes. The crap photos don't really show much difference but it is there!

10. Highlighting all of the bumpy bits.

An inspection by the short-haired Chaos Beast

After drybrushing stages were finished I went back over all the models with their base colours to correct any bits of red. The next stage will be picking out highlighting colours but I’ll probably only go one level as these are base troops and there will probably be lots of them to come.
