Great work so far. I look forward to see how the project develops… definitely try to get more tanks in if the background story allows:) Tanks, tanks and more tanks are a must!
Thank you very much. In terms of tanks left to paint as detailed in the project so far, I have:
1 Baneblade
1 Leman Russ standard variant
1 Leman Russ demolisher
1 chimera
1 converted Taurox on wheels.
I intend on buying the following:
2 armoured Basilisks from Forgeworld
1 Leman Russ
1 Trojan support tank
Possibly some more Chimeras, and
Some Rough Riders
I’ve got the Armoured Basillisk from FW a lovely kit to make. I also made the Trojan for my 3rd Armoured Division Savlar Chemdogs project (if you like to look at my completed projects). Again it’s a great model, but you will need to buy a piece of small chain for the crane because FW don’t provide one.
Awesome, I’ll take a look at your Savlar Chemdogs project. I checked YouTube to see what other people had done ref the crane on the Trojan and they used either brass rod or guitar string. I would love to get my hands on an atlas recovery tank as well, but I think that will be difficult, so may have to kit bash one for myself.
Hi There, I’ve never seen a new but second hand Atlas for sale, so I built one myself using the chassis of a Leman Russ and the crane parts from the GW Galvanic Servohaulers kit. I also cut a dozer blade in half and angled with green stuff to provide the rear counter-balance. Again there are some pictures in the Savlar Chemdogs project, but if you need some more close ups, direct message me and I will see what I can sort…
Awesome, that’s a good shout and an idea I may “borrow”. I couldn’t find any pictures of your Trojan, just lots of cool Leman Russ’s. I’ll take another look just in case I missed it and also to find the converted Atlas.
I’ve put some pictures up on my Instagram look for Zebraoutrider.
I’ve also added some photos of the Trojan and Atlas to my profile uploads- which I’ve set for anyone to view (hopefully ?)…
Found them, thanks for sharing. I’ve screen grabbed pics of the Trojan and atlas for inspiration, I really like the amount of stowage you have placed over both tanks and will likely do the same when I get round to doing mine.
