Orc Watchtowers
Second tower almost finished!
I ended up spending more time on the second tower.
The first tower is two story high. The second tower will have a single platform about 1.5 story high: slightly taller than most buildings in my collection, but not that tall (about 3.75 inches from the ground to the platform).
My initial thought was to simply use planks to fortify the platform. After watching too many survivalist shows like Alone, I ended up with a “log cabin” type of build.
It was fairly easy to do and I’m happy with the result. I used the BBQ sticks and the sushi chopsticks. I carved each “log” with an x-acto knife: the added relief will pick up paint nicely when drybrushing.
"Orc shack, baby, orc shack"I pillaged through my orc bits box for various components to add character to the building. I glued a bunch of shields and some spear/pole/banner to the structure.
I’m fairly happy with the result. I will probably paint this tower before finishing the other watchtower.
