Fun in the Weird Wild West Pt 2
Cleo
Now it’s time to tone the drybrush down with some washes, purple on the purples, 50/50 dark tone and wash medium on the rest. Then in with a soft tone on the ropes and bones etc. Avoid the bright purple as it’s makes it look dirty.
The upstart crow!
Just as I thought I was finished I remembered I’d left the crow off of the end of her staff! With such a slender connection I knew the drybrush step would snap it so I’ll paint separately and attach. Just a black paint, drybrush and dark tone should suffice!
Also I decided the face didn’t look right and when checked again I realised her teeth are showing in some mad grin, quick bit of white and she’s done!
Now And here she is after a quick matt coat.
Really pleased with how she turned out, I‘ve discovered I love painting skull face paint!! FYI Stone Golem is my new favourite paint. It’s a fantastic alternative to a pure white. Also that would be the name of my band If I had a nineties grunge band!!
The highlights really make this figure jump at you.
Nice ??
Cheers, such a good model to paint!
