Achtung! Reichbusters: Projekt Vril
shading and light
Washing with Army Painter Strong Tone on the cloth and Nuln oil on the black.
For flesh I used Reikland Fleshshade.
For highlights I used the base color to pull the area out from the shade then used Buster Flesh to lighten the color. I then drybrushed and/or edge highlighted depending on the piece.
The uniform I did not use the base color. The color of Russian uniforms is a light brownish green. I used the following ratio of colors
- Russian Uniform
- Army Painter Veteran Leather (1) + Army Painter Grunt Green (1) + Army Painter Comrade Brown (2) or
- vallejo ochre brown 70.856 (3) + vallejo olive green 70.967 (2) + vallejo red leather 70.818 (1)
I switched to a ratio as it is a waste of paint if I did full drops for such a small painted area
I also painted the eyes by putting down a black under circle for the eyes then I used xx6 claw to paint the whites then added a dot of black for the pupil. I then used Buster flesh to clean up around the eyes and then flesh wash to merge everything.
Lastly I put a coat of AK Interactive Ultra Matt Varnish
