SPRING CLEAN HOBBY CHALLENGE 2020 - KILL TEAM WHITE TEMPLARS
The Astartes fan movie inspired me for this project!
Hello there!
This project kicked of after I saw the 40K fan movie Astartes! I was blown away and thrown back into the awesome world of 40K after some time apart. Everything about this movie made med love space marines again, so I thought I have to paint up my two Kill Teams I got laying around and just collecting dust. My first reaction was that I wanted to paint them in the chapter that is in the movie, that they made themselves. But something made me also want to find a existing official chapter because this movie made me listen to audio dramas from Black Library and something made wanna stay true to the official world and its history. So I went through all the chapters and one stood out! The White Templars! There was something about their white armor with black details that made me think of the clean look of storm troopers from Star Wars.
When I then looked around on the internet I couldn’t find any cool illustrations of the White Templars just some straight up chapter armor images, so I sat down and just played around really quick in photoshop and made a rough image from a bunch of images, just to sell me more on the idea of the White Templars.
