So since my army has always been themed on the Chrace region of Ulthuan, I got one of these lion chariots as soon as they were released. That was about 15 years ago. Probably should get it painted!

Dunno why I fully constructed this. How was I going to paint it? Anyway, managed to get one of the crew off, so that will make it a little easier. Dunno why I fully constructed this. How was I going to paint it? Anyway, managed to get one of the crew off, so that will make it a little easier.

Sprayed ArmyPainter: Leather Brown. Then zenithed with Citadel: Wraith Bone.

The lions were painted with Citadel: contrast Skeleton Horde. I thinned it down with contrast medium to make it a bit paler. Then thinned it down even more for the manes.

Then the whole chariot was painted with GoreGrunta Brown. This would have been so much easier if it had been separate from the lions. I have no idea what my plan for painting this was when I glued it together.

Dark Angels Green for clothes and harness. Wyldwood for reins, boots, leather, etc. Blood Angels Red for the helmet plumes. Basilicum Grey as a basecoat for all the armour and weapons that will be silver.

Stormhost silver over the grey on the armour and weapons. Skin is Chadian fleshtone highlighted by mixing in some white.

Final details painted on. Final highlights done. Nuln Oil Gloss over all the metalics. The gloss gives nice black outlines but doesn’t darken the colours as much as regular Nuln Oil.

Based with Scrubland base ready mix from GeekGaming. Some tufts and MiniNatur flowers. Based with Scrubland base ready mix from GeekGaming. Some tufts and MiniNatur flowers.
