Spring Clean - High Elf Rescue
What did I win?
After recently finishing a Kev Adams orc army. I decided I wasnt through with oldhammer. Id been following lots of different armies on ebay to see if anything sparked my interest. I finally came accross a High Elf army. Full of old metal minis and those classic single pose spearmen and archers.
Below is a pic from the auction.
Classic eBay compression on the image makes it very hard to actually see the tiny details!The listing had no description. Which normally would be a red flag but the sellers account had lots of sales and good feedback.
From the image you should be able to see:
- Potentially broken imrik on dragon?
- Lots of charactors, champions including the old Teclis & Tyrion.
- Archers & spearmen
- Swordmasters
- Lions of chraice
- A chariot
- Dragon princes
- Silver Healms
Basically ticked all the boxes. So I threw my hat in and got this lot for £140 which I think was really good. Based on the price of some ofthese minis indevidually – I mean one old swordmaster for £7+ is mental. Or Tyrion for £29+ just madness.
I had incounted the same issue with my kev adams orcs but smart bidding and using fatfingers.com got me a lot of good deals.
