So wanting to try and up my game here… I thought of making some rock bases, with some frozen water round them.. then I can throw some snow on top tying it all together…

so first off, I made sure I had 10 32mm bases, none of the old supplied bases needed. Marines look so much better on the bigger bases!

Then needed to build them up a little with cork so that I would have some areas to fill with the resin,

next I made a bit of a mistake.. I added some crackle paint to the base in between the cork. I should have primed before I added the crackle paint.. I found that the paint didnt stick on the base too well so i had to find a way to try and seal it in.

Before that I sprayed them all with the Grey spray from GW to give me a base coat, still the crackle paint was flaking off so I turned to the Army Painter Soft Tone Dip.. Painted that on, and it seemed to have worked.
