Spring Cleaning: Isolation Hobby Reboot

Got a couple of Kill Team sets done tonight. Started with Krogskull’s Boyz which is a repack of the Ork Burna Boyz and Lootas set. Combined with the Galvanic Servohaulers, the set ends up being really cost effective for what you’re getting. I had assembled the Galvanic Servohaulers previously so I didn’t include them here. Overall, the Orks went together easily and look great. I like that there are a good amount of bitz, but overall, I kept them pretty simple. I also was able to make a nice variety of weapon choices and think they look great.
Next was the Drop Force Imperator set for the Astra Militarum (Imperial Guard). These were a bit more frustrating. While I should have built the special weapons first, the instructions were setup for the hotshot lasrifles first. This resulted in the specific arm pieces needed for the multi-melta being used by the time I got to them. I was able to modify and position some other arm pieces in order to make it work properly, and overall it looks fine. It was just frustrating when it made the last model more difficult to assemble. This kit comes with some Imperial armored crate terrain, and again, I think the combination in the kit makes it a great value. I do need a few more Guardsmen though to make it a full Kill Team.
Overall, great kits to work with. Having great fun with the Spring Cleaning Challenge.
