I figured each week I would do an update just looking back at the week. Welcome to Week 1 in Review!

Overall, I was really happy with this week. I managed to get a lot done and feel like I was making some progress. I know I’ve grabbed a lot of the easy kits first, but they are all assembled and ready for painting. I feel like I have spent so long not being productive, and in some ways afraid of the hobby, that getting this done feels like a weight off my shoulders.

So where do I go from here? Well, I have 7 sets of Kill Team models to get together. I have the models from both starter sets, even though I only have one starter set. I also have a set of Orks, Imperial Guard, and Thousand Son Terminators. I picked up the sets because I feel they were a great value for their cost. Just the terrain included with most of them sells for the cost of the faction set.

On the smaller scale I’ve got some Dropfleet/Dropzone Commander models that would be nice to get together. I’ve also got a good batch of Russians and Americans for Team Yankee.

Finally, I’m also going to start playing a lot more with my laser cutter and 3d printer. I have a large laser cutter that doesn’t get used much. A friend and I want to start working on accessories that people can use once they can get back to the table. Just some simple stuff to start out with, but we’ll see where that ends up.

All in all, I have a lot of stuff to get done, and this week will be a good mix of different games. But best of all, my painter is coming home for a short time. My oldest son was supposed to be in Mexico for two years on a mission for our church, but he is being sent home after 7 because of all the health issues around the world. As he’ll be in quarantine (not because he’s sick, just to be cautious), he’s already agreed to paint for me since he can’t go out and can’t really socialize either. I’m excited to see what he gets done.

Anyways, thanks for checking in! Stop by next week to see what I’ve gotten up to! 😀
