Spring Cleaning: Isolation Hobby Reboot
Work From Home Day 7
I finished the box of Battle Sisters today. Overall, not much to report over yesterday, but more of the same. I think the second half of the box went together a bit easier than the first half, but overall, lots of fiddly bits coming together for some great models. The plastics are definitely worthy successors to the original metals.
One thing I did forget to mention, the sprues absolutely frustrated me. I love that Games Workshop has been numbering everything, but there seems to be no consistency in the numbering. Instead of each frame having a set of pieces, say 1-10, 11-20, 21-30, the parts are mixed around. Not completely, but with three frames, the numbering is more like 1-5 and 16-20, 11-15 and 26-30, and 6-10 and 21-25. But now do this for a couple hundred pieces, of which I think you’ll actually use 60% of them. I found myself having to look at each frame every time, hunting for one of the numbered parts to then figure out which frame was needed. I swear I spent more time hunting for parts than I did building models.
