A fort to die for
One of the things i ordered from Kromlech Scenery was the orkenburg fort, which i insanly wanted to upgrade with rivet and nuts heads. These i made with a green stuff world set.
I recommend superglue and latex glooves. Or you fingers will smell for days like burned MDF.Painting those took some serious time of the chart. I started with a basecoat of black and used DIY paints for walls or wallpaper from the hard ware store. First was a layer of mixed grey blue. And then i drybrushed those with light gray, which i added later some more white to. This was the basis for the detail work:
The details took more time than the drybrushing, but is totally worth. Btw. i added some supermagnets inside of the seperate parts so the fort dont falls appart easily. The first part i added the details was the gate:
Then i added details to the corner pieces:
So far so good
