PanzerKaput's Star Wars Legion Journey
Imperial Stormtroopers
Stormtroopers, what can you say, the backbone of the Empire, cannot hit for toffee and generally are canon fodder. Well there are that but also they are very nice models. I thought that they are white, how hard is that to paint, yeah right.
So I primed them grey and then hit them with a white primer from above, don’t think I really needed to do that and I painted them using my trusted Vallejo Model Colour paints.
I uses a triad of Dark Blue Grey, Sky Grey and White. I painted the armoured areas firstly with a watered down wash mix of Dark Blue Grey and then painted all the armoured areas using the Sky Grey as the base and then highlighted with white.
After this I went back over the with a watered down mix of Dark Blue Grey and picked out the hard armoured plates and the recess areas to give it a hard edge.
Next I added in on the black areas using Vallejo Model Colour Black, German Grey and Basalt Grey. For this I painted the black areas, including the blaster, in German Grey and then I highlighted using Basalt Grey and for the blaster I added a further highlight of Sky Grey and then washed a watered down Black over it. I also used a Vallejo Black Wash on the gun and visor as this is a little glossy to make them stand out.
