Council of Four
Green is done!
Slow as I may be I am nearing completion on the game. Only pink/maroon and yellow to go so eight minis and I've already painted their skin.
I felt like the skin tones on the brown folk were a bit muddy so I’ve changed up my skin recipe for the green and I think it was worth the effort. For anyone interested, the sequence is as follows:
- Base with Vallejo 74.004 Base Flesh
- Wash with Vallejo 72.083 Skin Wash
- First highlight, covering almost but not all the surface with Base Flesh
- Highlight 1 with Vallejo 74.006 Natural Flesh
- Highlight 2 with Vallejo 74.007 Fairy Flesh
The only change I made was to hit it with the skin wash after the base flesh. I think it ended up giving more depth to the skin tones and I’ll likely keep with it.
I’m really pleased with the whorls on the dress and hat as they add a lot more interest to the mini.
