Next is to add the acetate rat-lines. easy to cut out and apply, normally I would use PVA to prevent clouding but due to the positioning and the minimum glue needed, I sticker with the liquid super glue.
Time to add Flags and Banners, the final details that pull it all together.
Amazing work on this ship, @wilco92! I can’t believe the effect of that rigging, really adds a huge dimension to the “miniature” (I almost feel silly calling it that).
I can just imagine what a fleet of these would look like on a huge blue-green table, with white cotton showing where broadsides are firing! 😀
Thanks @oriskany. this project was for me to see if the task of painting at this scale, rigging and sails was to much or an enjoyable experience. to be honest the rigging was the most enjoyable part. When I first thought about this project the goal in my mind was if I enjoyed it was going to plan to collect the relevant Rate ships to recreate the Battle of Trafalgar, hence the name of my project. my hope using Warlords range I could maybe achieve creating a game with this in mind, this would be an epic looking table, even… Read more »
