Sir Stanley's Cavalry
Day Ten of my journey into the world of 1938 A British Civil War and today it is the turn again of the Anglican League. The Anglican league was the first real effective opposition to the King and Moseley at the beginning of the civil war, defending Kent from the British Union of Fascists in Kent and the Bishop of Bath and Wells leading a campaign in the Vale of Evesham against the Royalist Army of the Severn.
This guy is from one of the many volunteer mounted units that fought with the various factions, these are Sir Cyril Stanley’s Horse. These are a hard fighting unit uniformed in the Anglican League blue uniforms
All of these pictures and backgrounds have been fantastic
Thank you very much @torros for your kind words. It has been a passion of mine for the longest time
