Flames of War Germans
A bit of basing for the artillery
A little behind with the deadline for the first month coming up quickly so gonna have to dedicate some time this weekend to getting back on track.
Grabbed some filler today from Tesco and got it onto the artillery bases. I have applied it with the men off. I made the mistake of gluing the first crew on one which made access much more difficult and added a fair chunk of time. Below is a picture of the second one and should highlight how much easier this process is with better accessibility.
Hope there were no magnums or donuts in the basket with the filler! 🙂
Not on that particular shopping trip 😉
Wouldnt worry about deadliunes… I’m waaaaay off! 😀
That 50 points in a single hit is a tough one.
Just 5 Panzers to do before the end of the month… tell you what though, that unpainted filler would pass as snow with a bit of shadow added here and there. That’s the Battle of the Bulge basing sorted!
@robert Nice buddy, your doing really well. I was thinking the same thing. The filler would be a really good start point for snow.
It’s even tougher when you havent started! 😀
(Still working on my mid-war stuff)
@olliep ouch how much more have you got of them to do then?
Well this weekend I’ve all but finished an M10 platoon and the 5 halftracks for the Armoured Rifle Platoon, they just need a tiny bit of weathering to finish them off.
That leaves:
4x M10s
6x M7 Priests
3x M3 Stuarts
1x Armoured recon platoon (2 trucks & 2 jeeps)
Plus the crew for a lot of these vehicles.
Vehicles all have been painted so it’s pinwashing, decals, varnish and weathering to do on them…. see how it looks next weekeend eh! 😀
