Melee Combat
I want combat to feel as cinematic as the spell casting.
Figures have a set number of energy for attacks and defence for a turn. You can choose to go all out on a single attack but you’ll have nothing left for defence.
Like the idea of a being able to push a charge beyond your normal charge range but loose say a die for every inch.
For heroes / characters this is where cards feel better than a board. We can both play a card with a different attack, defence, counter attack and then reveal. Each attack will be more or less effective against certain replies. The attacker can then attack again. Combat ends when attacker stops or dies. Like the idea of certain cards allowing you to attack multiple opponents.
Like the idea of certain counters being perfect counters and allowing the defender to control the melee
