Counter Spells

I don’t think you need a  separate system for counter.  I think it can be built in.

So let’s say I want to counter a level 1 fireball fired at a unit.  I can create an amount of earth  and move it in front of the trajectory of the fireball.  Or I can create a level 1 water ball and fire it at the fireball.  If I wanted to be more certain of blocking the attack I could grow the water ball or earth mound to level 2.

if the attacking mage was using multiple fireballs as the countering player you have a choice – try and stop everything.  Or really try and stop one attack and sacrifice the other targets.
