Manda's (Amachan) Piggy Gaggle that I have not yet found a name for.
The Army
The idea for this army came from the old Legend of Zelda Moblins and the more modern Legend of Zelda Bokoblins. Since that’s what I wanted to make I started searching the internet for good models to use. I found the Oathmark Goblins from Northstar Military Figures a good match for the bodies, a bit more armoured than your general Moblin/Bokoblin, but that’s fine. I do need different heads however, so I found two nice sets of heads from Maxmini.eu, Boarman Heads & Hogs of War. I will use the Hogs of War for the more elite and the Boarman Heads for the rest.
Now that’s the basics covered, what about the rest.
Cavalry
For the cavalry I once again was searching around the internet and for a base I have decided to go with the Orc Gore Riders from Mantic Games along with some of the Orc Chariot Regiment from Mantic Games for some chariots. I will use bits from the Goblin Infantry, Hogs of War & Boarman Heads mentioned earlier to customize them and blend them in the rest of the army.
I know that pigmen riding boars might be a bit……. Well, you know. But I’m pretty sure they don’t think of it like that.
Monsters & Creatures
I wanted a nice monster that will fit my army and for that I have decided to go for Broḡa, Wereofor Thegn from Mierce Miniatures.
Now for some creatures. I am a fan of GW’s Squigs and I decided to go with the Age of Sigmar Squig Herd as a base for some creatures. But to fit them in I’m planning on sculpting little pig snouts out of greenstuff on their noses and give them little ears similar to the Boarman Heads. I think that will look adorable and I’m going to call them Spuigs…….
Pictures of the products I plan on buying.
This is the plan so far, things may chance when I actually start working on it, but I think it’ll work great.
