So, this update is…somewhat late. Priorities of painting have changed due to changing circumstances, and I just kinda forgot to provide updates on how things are going here. But to put a long story short – the MZs and the Corvette are now complete, and I’ve been playing every so often with them.

Below is a couple of pics from a game I played today – I was at a club I haven’t been to in a while, but the conversation was that someone was interested in trying Cruel Seas. So packed up and headed on down. 3 games were played in the end.

The first game was a straight forward beat-em-up with 4 x MAS vs 4 x Vosper. It ended with 2 dead and 2 damaged per side, and we decided to disengage at that point, calling it a draw.

The second game was Scenario 4 – Spy Boat, with the Germans as attackers. Unfortunately there, the infiltrator was detected on the first turn, but still managed to escape, blowing one of the defending boats up with an ammo explosion.

The final game was Scenario 7 – Invasion, with the Italians invading, and the Germans defending. It was a madhouse, but, wnfortunately, the Italians didn’t fare too well. None of their torps were well aimed, and the Corvette took two eels and a bomb amidships.

But the funny thing was that whilst MGs, 20s and 37s were missing at short ranges regularly, the 3” guns had a field day! The Minesweeper was down to half HP by game’s end, all from 3” shells.
