3D Printed Bases to The Rescue Again
I have a plan in mind for the Knights of Darkness army, I’m inspired by the Lord of The Rings movies and want to give them a heavy stone ruins type look with autumn leaves to really give a splash of colour without removing the sense of DEATH!!!
The Bases I’m using are 3D printed and were designed by a community member my good friend elessar2590.

They have been designed to contain 2p’s in the bases to give extra weight to the models. Just to give them a slightly heightened sense of value when playing with them.
Texture the bases
One of the things about resin bases is the beautiful textures they come with. To keep the 3D printed bases versatile they are printed without any textures.
So I really wanted to give these bases a more defined texture rather than just sand or gravel.
Wallpaper to the rescue! We covered this wall paper a while back on one of the Weekender XLBS shows. and it has proved perfect for this.
Just a matter of outlining the bases and trimming out with scissors and then glueing down with some super glue… and bang we have a fantastic fast and cheap stone floor texture.
