More progress on the old Goblen Hewer model. First is stripping the old paint off the base using “LA’s Totally Awesome.” Great stuff, and it’s $1 a bottle at the dollar store. I’m then glung it to a base made of laser cut wood discs from an arts and crafts store. I use those discs for basing large models all the time. They are less than $1 each, and are easy to glue/pins models to as its thick and porous.

The rest is continued painting progress on the actual model. I’m trying to tie it in with the usual fyreslayyer paint scheme by using their typical colors. In particular, the volcanic slate-blue obsidian.

this was achieved using

1) stegadon scale green (GW)

2) nuln oil wash (GW)

3) edges highlight stegadon green

4) small edge highlight 50/50 stegadon green and sotek green (GW)

5) topmost edges and points hit with#4 with white added
