I have unfortunately been unable to do much painting recently as I have been looking after my mother who is rather ill, she is now in a care home and am returning to work Monday.

I have been thinking about this project and with the Spring Clean challenge being announced I felt this fitted that niche really well. I have been given permission to join the Spring Challenge and hopefully it will encourage me to make real progress.

I will now explain why I think this is a Spring Clean.

  • This is the resurrection of an old project of which I only have the two ships and the painted Rhinoman. I sold all other figs as unhappy with them.
  • Lots of bits taken from different extinct/on hold projects  (see below).
  • I bought the figures to resurrect this project about a year ago and had done nothing with them.
  • I am reworking this project in the light of the recent releases of Runequest and particularly Saga: Age of Magic, which I will be building all my warbands around.
This is the piece that first made me think of this project as a Spring Clean. This boat is from my original Runequest project. I plan to add further detail and enhance this model. An old Citadel miniature tree man that I have had for years and years, though does not fit any specific Gloranthan creatures descriptions one of my favourite models so am redoing this. Can use as a tree spirit or somesuch. An old Citadel miniature tree man that I have had for years and years, though does not fit any specific Gloranthan creatures descriptions one of my favourite models so am redoing this. Another model that I love but does not necessarily fit, but it is my game so here is the Warploque Troll. Another model that I love but does not necessarily fit, but it is my game so here is the Warploque Troll.
The one original painted miniature from my earlier Runequest project, the Fenris Rhinoman, which will remain unaltered as I love this figure. The one original painted miniature from my earlier Runequest project, the Fenris Rhinoman, which will remain unaltered as I love this figure.
