So in between waiting for paint to dry I decided to design a Flag. I ended up designing 5 flags.

These are designed to be recognisable by any illiterate soldier at a glance and tell anyone looking at it everything they need to know.

The Final Flag

This is the Flag of the Planet's Imperial Guard Regiments. The Background Colour Changes Depending on the Tribe but if it is Flying to Represent the Entire Guard it is White.

The Six Tribes of the Planet. The Lower Triangle is either White for a Neutral Flag or the Colour of the Tribe being Represented.

The Brigade Flag. The Central Circle is the Classification of the Brigade. The Outside Circles Represent Attachetted Units. The Semi Circles Show the Tribe of the Units, Tribes are Very Rarely Mixed at the Brigade Level.

Infantry – Pink
Armoured – Red
Cavalry – Yellow
Recon – White
Other – Black

The Divisional Flag. The Number on the Right is the Divisional Number, the Colour is it's Classification. The Left Number is the Corps Number and the Colour Shows the units Current Deployment Status.

Red – Deployed in Active Warzone
Blue – Currently on Planet and Not on Active Duty
Yellow – In Transit not to Home Planet
Green – On Planet and On Active Duty
Black – Deployed Off-Planet but not in an Active Warzone
White – In Transit to Home Planet

Here we See the Beige Tribe, An Armoured Brigade with Cavalry Support all from the same Tribe

An Armoured Division Numbered 2nd of 1st Corps, Currently on Planet and Not on Active Duty

Here we see a Cavalry Brigade with Recon Elements all from the Orange Tribe

So Back to the Original (Brigade) Flag we see the 2nd (infantry) Division, 1st Corps, In an Active Warzone Off Planet which is an Infantry Brigade that Contains Elements of both Armour and Cavalry all from the Beige Tribe
