I wanted to create a slightly more interesting base for this one but was concious that this was a big lump of resin and needed to be stuck to the actual base rather than and basing material. heres what i did if you're interested!

Firstly i wanted to mark out where Lokess's feet will be so i moulded some blu tac to the feet, positioned it and marked out where the moulds need to sit. Then i removed the model, peeled the foot moulds off and reattached to the baase. then i added a few other blobs to create puddles later on.

I then splodged on the Stirland mud and let it semi set and then removed the moulds.

Once dry i gave it a skelly bone drybrush and used Dark Stone to belnd the stirland mud into the black base. I then poured in the water effect, left for 12 hrs and the added a dark tone wash.

i did realise i may have been slightly to eager with the was and noticed it had dried on the water effect. Luckily you can remove water effect with a sharp knife easy enough. ill finish the coats first and add the water last from now on!i did realise i may have been slightly to eager with the was and noticed it had dried on the water effect. So after a soft tone dip (brushed on) its left to dry and then give a mat coat. once thats dry i give it a gloss coat to make it look wet. Then a few tufts and then the water effect gets poured in again. overall im happy with it bu the puddle effect can do with some more blending as the line betwen black and brown is to start, i might lift off the water and address in the future but for now im happy enough!
