Handy painting guide from Perry miniaturesHandy painting guide from Perry miniatures

I got my last box of minies for the Bunker Hill battle. I went for a perry miniatures plastic kit which is my favourite range for the period. I have one large unit of Marines to put together and the rest are used to complete a small Light Infantry unit. Nice break from the terrain building and I have a quick system for re cats now so hope to have them done by the end of the week.

I love the attention to detail in the research, @denzien . I’ll be honest, I kept mine “regiment generic” because (1) working with 20mm, (2) I’m lazy, (3) I wanted to be “able” to use the figures in battles across the war.

I know the differences between British line, light, and grenadier companies – what differences / characteristics have you noticed with Royal Marines? Generally “light infantry” in equipment and game stats? I know the uniforms and equipment will be quite different. Do they carry the “naval pattern” of the Brown Bess?
