Vikings for a friend.
Base
Base
Renedra Round Lipped Base
Base – Dryad Bark
Super Glue Gel to apply the 3 x rock shaped pieces of cork I cut.
Super Glue Gel Army Painter Brown Battleground basing material around the inner edges of the two larger rocks to make a small amount of scree.
Super Glue Gel Army Painter Lowland Scrub Tufts for some shrubbery 🙂
Then for the rocks
Base – Abaddon Black
Layer – Eshin Grey
Layer – Dawnstone
Shade – Nuln Oil
Base Edge I then painted a couple of layers of Abaddon Black.
I then painted some of the tips of the Lowland Shrubs with the final colours from the trousers. I prefer this method of colouring plain scrubs than getting coloured flowers as I think it often helps tie my model in to it’s base and I always imagine they use the flowers to colour there clothes from a fluff aspect.
Finally I used Plastic Glue for the bare part of the base and flocked the whole remaining area with Army Painter Grass Green. This covers a lot of the scree but makes for a nice transition from rock to scree to grass.
If you got this far thanks very much for taking the time and I hope some part of this is useful to some of you out there.
Happy Gaming everyone.
