After the undercoat of red and cherry I used a brush to add grey edging, light blue gloves and head piece and german grey for the metal bits and face. (I went back and painted the metal bits with Gun Metal Grey) I then painted the minis base with dark grey. Once the mini was painted (minus the eyes) I used a mix of black and brown wash to cover the mini except for blue sections. I washed the blue sections with blue wash ( I tried GW Drakenhof Nightshade and Vallejo Blue wash) to see the difference. (I liked the GW version as it seemed to seep into the crevices better). I then added the eyes with white (I waited on the eyes as the wash would have greyed them out so I waited and added them last). I then airbrushed a matte varnish. I used vallejo Matt Acrylic Varnish as the first coat but it is not a true matte but leaves it slightly glossy. I finished it with AK InteractiveUltra Varnish Matte (The best varnish I have found as it completely removes any shine).
