Tribute to Mars or two
I recently demoed Gangs of Rome at the Market Harborough Wargames Club and I jolly good time was had by all. I ran the Tribute to Mars scenario that come in the main rules as it is a lovely way to introduce people into the game.
The scenario is quite a simple one where you have to take out an opposing gangs’ fighter and drag his unconscious body to the Temple of Mars, which is in the centre of the table and then sacrifice him or her to Mars, the God of War and also an agricultural guardian.
What I love about this scenario is that is works just as well for multi player as it does for single player and actually in my opinion is it better as different tactics are involved, players pair off both against each other but also the make pacts with each other and them stab themselves in the back. I love it and to me is what Gangs of Rome is about.
