So now I had one piece of wood with holes and a second piece with matching recesses. But having them flat on top of each other would leave 3/5 of the miniature holder (aka “small piece of wood) exposed and prone to tipping. So I added a few spacers and used the drill holes for long screws and handles. The handles are 3cmx3cmx10cm.
