Closing loose ends of 2018
Finished models
To finish the models I needed to paint the wood and leather, hair, and bronze. Then I needed to paint the bases.
The wooden staves were simply painted rhinox hide. The leather was painted rhinox hide and highlighted doombull brown.
The wight hair was base coated mechanicus standard grey and highlighted ulthuan grey.
The bronze sword blade was painted warplock bronze, washed agrax earthshade and highlighted brass scorpion and runelord brass.
The blue gemstones had been painted with the rest of the gold areas earlier and I finished them off with soulstone blue technical paint.
The bases are caliban green with an agrax earthshade wash over the raised areas.I then apply a very liberal coat of nurgle’s rot technical paint on the bottom areas. The soul pod gem is painted ceramite white and then given a wash of nihilak oxide.
