Armour

The base armour colour will be Vallejo Game Extra Opaque Heavy BlackGreen (72.147) which will be shaded with Citadel Shade Nuln Oil (99189953017). For the apothecary it will be Vallejo Model Air White Grey (71.119) and the Chaplain will be Vallejo Model Color Black Grey (70.862) both shaded the same.

Trim on the armour will be in Vallejo Game Color Polished Gold (72.055) with some metal bits in Vallejo Metal Color Burnt Iron (77.721) & Vallejo Model Air Steel (71.065).

Most iconography will be done with transfers, however the knee marking will be painted with Vallejo Game Color Bonewhite (72.034)Vallejo Model Color Black Grey (70.862) & Vallejo Game Extra Opaque Heavy BlackGreen (72.147) where required. Markings that are embossed on the model, like most of the Dark Angel shoulder pads will be painted in either Vallejo Model Air White Grey (71.119) or Vallejo Model Color Carmine Red (70.908) where necessary.

The lenses in the helmet will first receive a basecoat of Vallejo Model Air Silver RLM01 (71.063) followed by Vallejo Model Color Transparent Red (70.934) and a gloss varnish at the end.

Robes, Cloth, etc.

The main colour for the robes and such will be Vallejo Model Color Beige (70.917) with some parts Vallejo Model Color Carmine Red (70.908) & Vallejo Game Extra Opaque Heavy BlackGreen (72.147) where required.

Guns

The main body covers for the guns will be Vallejo Model Color Carmine Red (70.908) and the rest will be Vallejo Model Color Gunmetal Grey (70.863).

Trim bits will be Vallejo Game Color Polished Gold (72.055), Grips will be Vallejo Panzer Aces Dark Rubber (70.306) and bullets where visible will be Vallejo Model Color Brass (70.801).

Melta barrels will be painted Vallejo Game Color Bright Bronze (72.057), flamer cowls will be Vallejo Model Color Copper (70.999), front ends of plasma guns and the cowls of lascannons will be painted with Vallejo Model Air Steel (71.065).

They will all be shaded with Citadel Shade Nuln Oil (99189953017).

The plasma coils will be painted with Vallejo Model Air Silver RLM01 (71.063) and then covered with Vallejo Model Color Transparent Blue (70.938). However some older style plasma weapons, of which I know there is only one in the army so far, will get the second coat done with Vallejo Model Color Transparent Green (70.936) instead of the blue. None of the coils will be shaded further and receive a gloss coat at the end.

Melee weapons

Blades on knifes, sword, power weapons etc. will be basecoated with Vallejo Metal Color Burnt Iron (77.721) and receive a drybrush of Vallejo Model Air Steel (71.065).

The main shaft of the weapon, where exposed will just be Vallejo Metal Color Burnt Iron (77.721) and the grips will be Vallejo Model Color Cavalry Brown (70.982). The power coils will be Vallejo Model Color Copper (70.999) and the trim and or decorative bits will be painted with Vallejo Game Color Polished Gold (72.055).

The teeth on chainweapons will be Vallejo Model Color Oily Steel (70.865) and power fists will be painted in the same colours as the armour. Body covers on weapons will be Vallejo Model Color Carmine Red (70.908) where applicable.

Skin, Faces etc.

For this army I will use 2 skin tones, a white one and a black one so to say (no offence meant). For the white I will use a base of Vallejo Game Color Cadnium Skin (72.099) and for the black I will use Vallejo Model Color Chocolate Brown (70.872). Both will be shaded with a 50/50 mix of Citadel Shade Reikland Fleshshade (99189953027) & Vallejo Glaze Medium (70.596).

For eyes I will be really simple and do a dot of Citadel Shade Nuln Oil (99189953017) and for hair I will use whatever I feel is applicable to the model, this can vary so much that writing it down ahead of time is just not doable.
