Very happy with the way the Sharnhorst turned out designed it slightly smaller then what I plan on building the full size battleships at 2.5″, full size BB’s I am aiming at 2.75″. The size leaves room for an eventual refit similar to what the WW2 Gneisenau was going to receive which will lengthen the ship to a full size BB and increase the main battery size.

Good call on keep the Scharnhorst a little small for a battleship, she is indeed definitely light for her type. With a Thrust of 4 and a 10th Wave Darkstar drive (both SLD and FTL insanely fast for a battleship) in many ways she behaves more like a heavy cruiser than a battleship or even a British-style battlecruiser. And I like the conning tower!

Just a thought on the Ventral side of the ships.
Have you considered printing the Dorsal and Ventral sides separately, lightly sanding down the rough bottoms, then glueing them together?
I have attempted a print split in to, the problem is at this scale you will get noticeable gaps that needs to be filled, the odd pattern that prints onto the bottom is easier to fill in with putty for a smooth look
