1st Japanese ship done, decided to change up the engines look for the Japanese Navy and adding a tall superstructure on the ship. 3d print turned out the best so far, just need to make some parts of the bow slightly thicker so they do not warp.

More great ship prints @bloodstrike ! I like how the Akashi’s engines are not centerline, but out on the sides. This is actually how we started drawing the ships in Darkstar, it makes it easier to design stern-mounted weapons in realistic firing arcs, both dorsal and ventral.
thanks @oriskany, in the Endeavor design I already started to try and add shrouds around the engine to leave places where weapons could be placed as I noticed the issue my self when I needed a stern facing hanger. Will see after this weekend going to do another pass on all 4 ships most difficult part is adding details that are survive the 3D printing process as it doesn’t play nice with tiny bits and gun barrels. Larger ships I am looking at doing some multi part prints to try and add some turrets and larger overhangs
