So are a while thinking on whats next for my Hex faction i did look at various faces, hands and of course hex beasts but then I remembered i had something from the original Kickstarter id been meaning to work on for ages. It’s probably up there as one of my favourite models in the range and its a subtle as the proverbial brick. It is the Vaquero heavy buggy and its a beast! Now im not much of a vehicle painter but i jave to say im really looking forward to this one!

Due to an enforced layoff as Red Dead Redemption 2 came out my painting time has taken a bit of a hit recenty but this weekend I decided it was time to get back on the metaphorical horse and get this beast finished!

Firat up it was the basics, khaki for the cloth, Gold and bronze for the metal work and matt black for the sodding tyres! Seriously those chains are a nice touch but man are they annoying to paint around!

Next all the little details for the crew, skulls and seats. Nice, plush red leather seats!

Then a skeleton bone drybrush, dash detail and washes of soft tone and dark tone

Also I forgot to memtion the little flashes of RJ power coming out the engine slits. Simple dark red, light red, orange, yellow and white.

Its getting there, i think i need a final going over with various shades of army painter dipIts getting there, i think i need a final going over with various shades of army painter dip
