RPGs for beginners

So whilst I am stust getting my head around DnD 5e I decided to start things simple with my son. So I picked up a copy of Warlock of Firetop Mountain.

The story so far

First up we set up the character, then set off on the adventure. It seems that my son is a bit of a natural, so far the story has involved killing several orcs, a snake, surviving a poison date, falling down a pit. Finding 26 gold, a spell, a glove, gaining more gold from gambling with an old man, finding a shield. And killing a crazy old dude who wields a chair leg.First up we set up the character, then set off on the adventure. So after about 4 sessions of about an hour each, we completed the Warlock of Firetop Mountain.

Pros my son enjoyed it mostly, but the big con was he was not to keen on the endless corridors.

Note to self … When creating a dungeon make sure there is not too many of those. ..lol
