Hail to the Men of Bronze
Priming and washing
Ok. So this is the third entry and to be honest I’ve surprised myself for getting this far.
Anyway I finally went out to get some primer today. I always go to Halfords as it’s 2 minutes down the road and although it’s quite expensive @£6.99 not having to drag into town is worth the extra cost.
Quick interlude about primers. All primers are the same whether you spend £1 or £20 on them. The only difference is the amount of propellant in them. End of educational message
So what is described below is the same method I use for painting all 6 and 10mm figures.
It was a bit cold tonight so I put the aerosol in some warm water from the tap for a few minutes to help loosen the paint and then gave it a good shake to mix the paint
After that I give them a quick wash with watered down Vallejo Black Shade to bring out the detail and make it easier to paint. Hopefully you can see that in the photo below
Next I will put down some base colours
A bit of a late edit but the above shaky close up might give a better view of the wash
