Miss Ashleigh's Bolt Action and Konflikt 47 Projects
Italian Basics
Hi all, I have been lurking on the periphery of Beasts of War for some years now, I have never interacted with the community here preferring to watch videos and read the forums and project blogs. However I though I should finally share something of mine. So here’s the start of a blog about my Bolt Action and Konflikt 47 projects.
I’m starting with Italians. My initial idea for this army was to build something to represent the disastrous Italian invasion of France in June 1940. However it’s almost certainly going to evolve is something that covers most of the war. I will start by focussing on Europe, I already have 1000pts in various stages of assembly and painting. Beyond that I will add what I need to turn this army in to a Konflikt 47 army for both the Axis and Allied Italian factions. Then I might move to the desert but that’s some way off.
Enough of my gossiping and on to some photos.
First up is the command teams, on the left is a lieutenant and assistant and on the right is an airforce/artillery observer with a radioman.
Next is the first of two Infantry sections, both are equipped identically, the NCO has an SMG and the section has an LMG with loader.
Here is the second infantry section, yes that is a red grenade. According to the research I have done Italian grenades WW2 grenades were painted bright red.
Finally here are a pair of weapon teams; a MMG and a medium mortar.
That’s all I have for now, still to be painted are a pair of vehicles, 2 more infantry sections, another weapon team and an anti-tank gun. Hopefully I will have some more for you all soon.
