Frog Jester - NOVA Open Charitable Foundation

Beasts of War coverage at Gen Con put me on to the NOVA Open Charitable Foundation. They run online raffles for gaming and the one open during the convention had an array of incredible items on offer. There were complete master painted 30K and 40K armies, an X-Wing Scum & Villainy fleet with some beautiful custom painting, stunning single miniatures, even a Warlord Titan.

I believe $10 got you 10 tickets to distribute between the various offerings and one item I dropped a ticket on was the Frog Jester from Dark Sword Miniatures’ Critter Kingdoms range. An email arrived earlier this month saying I had won and they quickly packed it nicely and sent it my way.

The model is stunningly painted, a real showpiece by the artist Tish Wolter, a first time contributor to the NOVA Open foundation.

I have a couple of Critter Kingdoms models I use in Burrows & Badgers and they generally fit the range pretty well. This Frog Jester likely won’t see a combat role, but will make a great objective or the start of a collection of civilians for use in custom scenarios.
