My inspiration My inspiration

i found the basic model of the protectron and it charging pod from Fallout 4 game files.

I use BAE(Bethesda archive extractor) to gather meshes out of the fallout 4 game directory .

i use Nifkope software to convert said meshes to .obj.

Once i have the obj file i import it in to tinkerCAD (1), but this model is huge.

i then import another copy but at 25% but this is a touch to  small.

02)i use my insperational pic to gauge the size i want i end up with 31% of the original size model.(03) the red retangle represents a 28mm miniature.

04)using some CAD magic i remove the glass and door into the desire effect. with one model being open and and one closed.

05)Next is to export both models into Cura (slicing software use to create Gcode for my 3D printer) and print.

these are great first prints, but there a gap on the top of the  door that need to be filled.

I painted using a base of space wolf grey(fortress grey)

Black for the hoses the dry brush with plate metal.

Accent with goblin green.

Lava orange for the lights.
