@thewaugh and @ajhawes crack on with assembling their armies. Me actually trying to put miniatures together just ends in frustration and ruined miniatures, so Amanda is kindly assembling my Nighthaunts for me as well as her Stormcast.

In general, I found the Nighthaunts easier to assemble than the Stormcast. Although I felt the Stormcasts were infinitely stronger in terms of the punishment they could take being handled. The Nighthaunts were very spindly and slotting them into bases was often a challenge in patience lest I bend the plastic so far it snaps. The main issue with assembling the Stormcast was the fact that a a lot of the models required you to slide arms and heads into place and keep them there while the front piece was added. Wow, that’s quite the production line you have going! I haven’t tackled the Stormcast yet, but I agree that getting the Nighthaunts into their base can be fiddly. I found the trick is to use the back of your modelling knife (or a paint brush handle or whatever) and push down on the centre of the slotta base – it drops right in fairly easily 🙂
