I have to say it really lifts a model to see it in-situ with that level of surrounding scenery.
Thanks 🙂 Honestly, she should have been standing the board game tiles, to be true to her game environment. But I like it so much more, with ‘real’ scenery, rather than colored tiles.
I love games with tiles and grid-based movement, but it always looks better with proper scenery. I definitely think there is a place for finding ways of making game-centric boards/grids/tiles look as much like real terrain as possible whilst trying to still convey that clear symbolic information needed to play the game.
I absolutely agree. I’ve seen someone making custom tiles for Gloomhaven and Descent. It looks amazing, and really adds so much more to the game.
