I decided to keep my castle relatively modest in size. Two foot by two foot. More of a fortified keep really. That way I would have some hope of storing the thing in my house, and also fitting it into the occasional game of Kings of War or Lord of the Rings without completely filling up the whole table.
I wanted to make sure everything fitted before I started building (for good reason, as we shall shortly see!) so I drew myself a messy but to scale plan. Here it is.
