Privateer Press Play Warcaster In Their Latest Staff Showdown
February 26, 2020 by brennon
Privateer Press recently took to Youtube and their latest Staff Showdown in order to reveal how to play Warcaster: Neo-Mechanika. You can check out the video they posted up below and look back at more details that were revealed about the game we check out last week HERE.
The team at Privateer Press dive into lots of detail about the rules of the game and some of its more up-to-date mechanics which build on familiar concepts. If you were interested in the miniatures it is well worth checking out the video above to see if this could be for you ahead of their Kickstarter campaign.
I would like to see what extra details the team at Privateer Press reveal in the coming weeks, potentially looking towards additional factions and more. If you're interested in learning more about the game and the answers to some questions on fundraising and such then make sure to read the blog which was written by Matt Wilson last week too.
Are you interested in diving into Warcaster when it comes to Kickstarter?

Not finished watching this yet but awesome sweet really exciter about the game thanks for the upload.
I already like that the board is a bit more terrain heavy I prefer to play narrative style games rather than competitively so I like a busy table
Looks like they streamlined Warmachine which is not a bad thing.
Also the individual player turns are shorter. In Warmachine/Hordes there was long down time between your turns with moving your entire army.
And the Warcasters were a bit prone to assassination if they get caught alone.
Looks promising, but I need to see more in the KS… but I’m unlikely to back it as I’ve been resisting KS for over two years.
Yeah, I don’t blame you for being wary of Kickstarter, but I wouldn’t worry about this one with how faithful PP has been in delivering the goods on time.
It’s not that I doubt they will deliver… I backed Widowers Wood and that was the usual six months late that you expect of a KS… so I know they will deliver. But I found myself backing things and then later requesting a refund because I’d lost interest in the game, or the product was getting ridiculously late and I suspected it would never deliver. I’ve got some KS games that I still haven’t played and were a massive waste of money… Zombicide Black Plague for example… which is a crap game that I’m just using as a source of… Read more »
It looks like it will be a great game and I am interested!!! Based on what I have seen I will be backing the kickstarter 🙂
IF they run their kickstarter like a kickstater, with descent discounts and free stretchgoals, then I am in.
If the just run it just as a direct to customer “preorder” kickstarter, then no dice for me.
I my experience there’s no such thing as a free stretch goal. They plan their stretch goals to be within budget, relying on the addons to boost the funds…
There’s no such thing as a free lunch.
Free to me… to me…
Interesting! I actually am a bit of the opposite here. I would be less turned off if they went with the preorder approach, as it means I have more confidence in the shape of the product. While I like getting stretch goals as a consumer, I’m less interested in it for the product as a whole.
looks good.
Will they finally switch to platics ?
They are doing resin + metal so they can build all of the models in house. They, and MANY other companies, have been burned and delayed by having to rely on hard plastic manufacturers (usually in China) when things go sideways. Having model building capability in house means they should be able to release models in a quick fashion, given their size.
I’m freaking stoked to play this game! I was pretty intrigued at the teasers they had been giving out, but the video on the actual game play has totally sunk its hooks into me. Still waiting to see how much things are on the Kickstarter, but I’m all in if the prices / content is reasonable!
