The Perrys Add More Napoleonic Ottomans To Their Range
September 27, 2023 by brennon
Perry Miniatures added four new sets of miniatures to their 28mm Ottoman Army collection for use during the Napoleonic era on the tabletop. Bulk out your force with some spearmen alongside aids and more skirmishing infantry.

Leading the way, we have two sets of Egyptian Fellahin that could be used to make up a set of melee troops. These miniatures could be used as part of the Napoleonic period but (apparently) would also be used beyond it as well. At least during the age of black powder warfare, having a spear and shield was still of some use. You could still chase someone down once they'd fired and stick them with the pointy end!

There are options for the Egyptian Fellahin both standing around (perhaps on guard) or charging into battle to get stuck in with the rest of their kin.
You can also get yourself some neat troops for the Eastern Anatolians. Another awesome unit that will be fun and colourful to paint alongside those awesome-looking Ottoman-style weapons. I like that the skirmishers from the Perry twins come in lots of different poses. Firing, reloading, spotting and more. Lots of fun options!

Capping things off, we also have this neat set that might be fun to include in a diorama or perhaps at the back of your army. Here we have the Nizam-i-cedid Infantry And Saka.

I like the idea of this being used to help add a bit more character to your force. You could use these to help embellish your army and craft a narrative. If you wanted to make sure that you showed that your army is well supplied with water, then miniatures like these would be a good in-world way to do that.
Are you going to be snapping up these Ottomans for your army?
