Dawn Unveils Her Finished Jezebel Miniature
February 23, 2016 by deltagamegirl22
I am very excited to say that my journey to the creation of a miniature has finally come to it's end as I hold in my hand, my very own resin, 32mm, Jezebel miniature. Prodos Games hit this one out of the park!
It's as if some sort of witchcraft had a part in this, because the level of detail they were able to retain from the original beautiful artwork is nothing short of magical. Her facial features, her wicked mechanical arm, her unusual broom and chain and even the string that laces her corset together are crystal clear!
I was also extremely impressed with how clean the pieces were on the sprue. There was really very little flashing to clean up and what little there was easily remedied with a hobby knife. There was no trimming or risky filing to pretty any of it up, so I was never worried about breaking her delicate pieces.
The miniature went together so nicely as well. There was no fiddling with positions or ambiguity as to how exactly any of it fit.
As I was so anxious to put Jezebel together as soon as I got her, I used a wooden plank base insert from Brush 4 Hire to help set the scene. If you haven't used them before, I was really pleased with the final result as it was quick and easy and ended up flush with lip on the base- something that doesn't always happen when using base inserts.
I cannot wait to see how she looks painted up and I can only hope that my questionable painting skills can do her justice. I will definitely be asking for a talented painter to bring a Jezebel to life for me, but my journey will not be complete until I paint her up myself.
This brings me to my last bit of news. After having my creation in hand and suddenly wishing I had more, we've come up with an idea. I don't have the details just yet, but given the theme of this year's Salute is Steampunk, I'm 99% sure I'll be having a limited run made and you will be able to purchase your own Limited Edition Jezebel. Stay tuned for more details on this very soon.
On that note, I once again need to thank my friends at Paranoid Miniatures for hooking me up with their ridiculously talented artist, Shane Cook, who allowed me a truly magical glimpse at character creation. It was amazing to watch him breathe life into Jezebel until she ultimately was able to walk off the paper and into the talented hands at Prodos Games.
Another massive thank you is owed to Prodos Games for being so easy to work with and doing a phenomenal job of taking a beautiful piece of two dimensional art and transforming it into a stunning 3D form. What a wonderful journey.
Manpug, Jezebel will be making her way to you soon! As a lovely extra twist, based upon the interest in Jezebel, I will be working with Prodos to have a limited run of Jezebels made.
I thought this would be a great way to share my experience with the Beasts of War community and help fund our next trip over for Salute.
For anyone interested in purchasing their own Jezebel miniature, please send me an email at [email protected]. I will bring the miniatures over with us to Salute, and we can make arrangements to ship for those that will not be there.
What do you think of the final results for Jezebel?

That is a fantastic mini. Really enjoyed watching this come together, cheers Dawn.
Very pretty in an insane way will she be part of paranoids games or is this a one off piece
She is a stand alone mini, but would make a lovely proxy.
i would love to buy Jezebel
Really great stuff there,
hopefully you’ll have plenty for Salute as I’m sure she’d be popular, I’d certainly grab one given the chance
I would love to use this model in my Guildball team! I think I will sign her up at salute!
what faction dude?
I play fisherman and thats a whale spear if I’ve ever seen one!
Plus she could whip up some sushi in no time with that scissor hand!
Great @deltagamegirl22 I really love the mini. I am happy for you that the process is almost finished. Now, I am awaiting patiently for the painting.
I’ve started, but just the base colors at this point.
Waiting for the results 🙂
Great looking mini. I think she would look great in Malifaux and even in the Fishermens guild.
I look forward to seeing any other mini you design.
Absolutely Gorgeous
I would be interested Dawn 😉
A spectacular mini Dawn. Super impressed with the final product and really happy to see this article. I look forward to your next article where we will learn her back story and get a feel for where she comes from and how mischievous she is.
Let’s get some paint on the mini!
And lets have it in the forums!
I wish I could make it to Salute but flying halfway around the world just to buy a model is a little out of my price range 🙂
She looks absolutely awesome. I’d be interested in one. She would make a good stand-in for Warwitch Deneghra in my Cyrx army.
love it she looks brill the talon glove an ace touch.
sweet Dawn I shall see you friday before salute 😀 with My copy of mini please 😀 cash or in equivalent in drinks for you and your Mrs? are you takin any kids with you this year? It would be fantastic to meet them.
*taking…
Sounds lovely! No, no kids this year. That’s something we’ll have to plan for another trip. 🙂
lovely
a figure for Frostgrave, captain wizard/witch.
A very nice figure, AND YES, one to have.
It is truly amazing what can be achieved these days in miniature production and I would totally buy one if I had the opportunity!
Looks amazing Dawn, congratulations.
This just shows that anything your imagination can come up with can indeed be made. That is a stunning finished result. I also like the creative ways they managed to add the fine details like the chain that if made like the image depicts would be frail. This gives me hope I can get models made to my liking some day in the future.
Awesome end result! 😀 Great work, @deltagamegirl22 !
so awesome
friggin’ fantastic!
So how much do prodos charge for a sculpt then? Anyone know?
a million dollars!!!
lol.
I don’t know, but it cant be to much.
But like all bespoke designs I’m guessing over £250 for a unique sculpt.
Definitely interested in obtaining such an awesome piece!
Thank you so much, everyone! I feel like a proud, Mom. lol. I’ll be responding to emails with details soon. 😀
DAMN! that is a fine looking mini dawn!!
kudos on all the effort you took to report it to us, I’m so tempted to make an ork me now lol ( it will only take green paint tbf :P)
great job and I cant wait to see it painted and based.
I love the mini. I would absolutely love to pick one up. I’ll probably be heading back to the states just prior to Salute. If it looks like I’ll still be around for it I’ll see if I can get one. Otherwise I’ll have to try and pick up one from you through the mail.
